Unbelievable results using Metal Cleaner HP and Metal Wax Polishing Gel at work with a BMW restoration. Above series of photos show a BMW Boxer engine. On the left you can see the corrosion on the aluminum case.The entire engine looked the same including the jugs. You can see how well it responded to the cleaner and metalwax polish. All work was done by hand. How it was done: First the case was cleaned with the fluoride HP metal cleaner and 0000 grade steel wool. The cleaner dissolved most of the corrosion the rest was cut off with the steel wool and the cleaner. This process is very fast. Product does most of the work. The black plastic was polished with the metalwax polish. Total cleaning time about 2 hours and 1 twin pak of cleaner.Then the case was flushed with water to remove all cleaner and dead metal.
Next the metalwax gel polish was used with steel wool (specific to this job)as an applicator.This process took another 3 hours.For the fins on the jugs a bottle brush was used. The nice thing about the metalwax is all the black residue was removed with soap & water. NO BUFFING.The results lasts for many years. You can have the same results using the metalwax products. The spray shine polish is used as a maintenance product to keep it a peak appearance.
