These stainless steel caps on the front of this horse trailer have a high polished finish with aluminum frame rails that are not polished. The cap on the left as you can see is heavily stained. the photo was taken after the trailer was washed, to prep it for a complete re conditioning job, done at our shop in Gilroy, california the stains would not come out with even the most powerful commercial soap made

The photo of the end cap on the right was taken after cleaning and polishing with metal wax. although very large the total time to clean & polish the cap was about 30 minutes. That included polishing the aluminum frame and top caps above the stainless.. The wax in our product seals the stainless from future stains, this will last for several years. Stainless steel is made of three main alloys, steel, nickel and chromium

The larger the nickel content the better the stainless steel. Since there are no standards for nickel content in stainless any amount of nickel alloy can be labled stainless steel.

When you buy stainless products it's a good idea to take a magnet with you, it's the only way you can determine nickel content. If the magnet sticks to the stainless, it's not good stainless.

You can't re finish the surface on stainless steel. Buffers and compound polishes only scratch the finish and dull the shine.

This project is a stainless steel saucepan. The inside has mineral and hard water build up burned into the stainless. A lot of different stainless cleaners were used prior to metalwax with no success.This pan took about ten minutes to completely clean and re-polish with all the stains removed. This is how it was done. We let the fluoride cleaner sit in the pan for five minutes completely covering the bottom with cleaner. Pour out. Polish with the metalwax yellow gel, wash out. Apply Quick spray shine and polish with small piece of terry towel. Wash out with sponge, soap and water, dry and the pan is ready for use. There is no buffing necessary with these products. Polish and wash with soap and water and it is like brand new,

These two images of a brushed stainless steel tool box top are a great example of what you can expect to see on your brushed finish stainless when you use the spray on metal polish. This is a brand new snap on limited edition box. It's the same stainless you would see on a refrigerator,stove top,dish washer or other kitchen appliance only thicker and more heavy duty. Ultra clear with no streaking after polishing with the spray shine. This box top is very large so you need a product that's fast & easy.

This is how we polished this top. First we applied the green cleaner. Apply only. Do not remove the cleaner. Spray the polish on the stainless in 8 inch lines. Three for this box top. Then use MICRO FIBER towel held flat and wipe the polish off using large ovals. Flip the towel often because you will pull lots of black residue .
Spray Shine is a totally smooth product with no abrasives and will not scratch or change the original appearance of the brushed finish.
